At Case IH we listen to our customers, because we want to keep them productive especially during harvesting. That’s why the two variable chamber round balers have new features that boost productivity and extend baler life.

Increasing the field performance. RB round balers offer high performance 2.0 and 2.3 metre pick-ups that feature long life, close-spaced, steel tines to make sure the entire crop is collected. The Flow Sustaining two-stage windguard, on packer feeder models, has a hinged roller or plate in front that adapts in height and angle to the windrow. The windguard on the rotor models has a plate extension fitted as standard and can also be fitted with a roller kit. Two large centring augers ensure that the entire crop is delivered to the bale chamber in a smooth flow.

Precision operation. The pick-up features a hydraulic lift, which coupled with the spring balanced flotation system and gauge wheels ensures that fields are left clean and tidy. Adjustable pick-up height limiting chains prevent the pick-up tines digging into the ground. The windguard can also be adjusted manually when required to flatten an uneven swath.

The variable bale chamber. Is perfect for customers who need a flexible bale size to suit their crop and storage conditions.

Solid and durable. The pick-up tines are made of high tensile steel and the pick-up reel drive chain has chrome pins. Together with the dual cam track these features ensure that you can rely on the pick-up for many seasons. The heavy duty steel floor roller, mounted behind the pick-up and feeding unit, supports the weight of the bale as it forms.

A semi-rolled centre perfectly formed. Four forming rollers are used to create the core. The fixed position starter roller and forming roller rotate below two dimpled forming rollers that pivot to produce the ideal core and assist rotation as the bale increases in diameter.

Hydraulic density control. To produce the ideal core, belt tension and core density are controlled by coil springs. As soon as the core is formed and the bale starts to grow, the belt tension and density are increased dramatically. The position of the belt tension arm is controlled by a powerful hydraulic ram.

Density adjustment made easy. A simple hand operated density control valve allows the operator to make precise and accurate density adjustments to suit crop conditions. During operation a pressure indicator gauge can be viewed from the cab.

Nothing lost or wasted. With the variable bale chamber it is possible to make a smaller sized bale when clearing the last of the crop from a field.

The unique bale performance monitor gives you full control from the moment you start to bale, with twine or net available at the touch of a button.The touchpad control system with manual or automatic modes enable you to perform all the balers major operating functions from the comfort of the tractor seat. With all essential set-up and operating data at your fingertips, fine tuning adjustments can be made on-the-move.

Automatic operation. As soon as the desired bale size is reached the bale is automatically wrapped with twine or net, ready for the operator to eject. It’s simple fast and very efficient.

The ultimate in flexibility. With the RB electronic system, operators can choose twine or net and change the rolls within a few minutes.

Automatic twine wrapping control. The bale performance monitor is pre-programmed with three settings that can be selected depending on crop type and conditions, plus a fourth programmable setting available to suit individual operating preferences.
