By wrapping the bale nutrient loss is prevented and as a result maximum nutrient value is secured for your cattle after storage time. But various conditions ask for various solutions, therefore offers KUHN the most complete and versatile range of individual wrappers available for the market. Starting with stationary round bale wrappers up to trailed large square bale wrappers used by contractors. Thanks to several unique features KUHN wrappers make a real difference in storing a quality crop.
Even as the RW round bale wrappers the SW square bale wrappers are available as mounted or trailed version. All equipped with one or two standard pre-stretchers build of aluminium which holds a 750mm film each. In addition all wrappers are standard fitted with an automatic film cutter.
The Kuhn SW square bale wrappers are all equipped with two adjustable pair of steel rollers with a ribbed profile to ensure the correct bale rotation and film overlap. Depending on the model medium square bales, large square bales and even round bales can be wrapped. Divers control systems are available.
The KUHN SW 1604 self-loading trailed medium square bale wrapper is the choice of those who demands higher capacity and efficiency. The SW 1604 is able to wrap medium square bales of (WxHxL) 80cm x (60cm – 90cm) x 180cm. In addition round bales up to a diameter of 150cm can be wrapped. Thanks to its low-profile chassis design with pivoting wheels and a parallel loading arm it is capable of loading bales up to 1000kg without problems. An increased capacity; the SW 1604 is capable of loading and carrying a second bale in the loading arm while remaining wrapping. The SW 1604 has a high speed square bale turntable which enables the film, coming from the pre-stretcher, to be wrapped around the bale. Once the correct amount of film layers are applied, the film is firmly held and cut by the hydraulic film cutter. The bale is gently unloaded in driving direction. The SW 1604 can be operated via the 3-handle cable control, electro-hydraulic joystick or computer control box.The KUHN SW 4004 self-loading trailed large square bale wrapper is the choice of those who demands high capacity, efficiency and flexibility. Thanks to its solid design with hydraulic sliding system a unique ,,drive through’’ concept is realized. This provides in the field in a wide entrance and extreme stability with a perfect view on the IntelliWrap™ controlled wrapping process. The film rolls stretched by pre-stretchers are cut and hold firmly by the two “scissors-type” film cutters. Bales accidently dropped in a corner of the field can be picked up in a reverse way by the two pairs of steel rollers. By using the hydraulic sliding system a transport width of 250cm only is achieved. Via an ISOBUS terminal the drawbar with Cat. II swivel headstock can be controlled for unlimited turning angles. Up to 10 rolls of film can be stored on the strong designed drawbar. The oil supply of the SW 4004 can be given via the tractor hydraulics or via a PTO driven oil supply.
