  • The powerful Yamaha middleweight workhorse

The Yamaha Grizzly 450 IRS is the perfect all-rounder. A liquid-cooled 421cc 4-stroke engine complete with Hi-Low gearbox, underlies impressive carrying and towing potential, while independent rear suspension and double A-Arm front suspension take uneven terrain in their stride.

Redesigned components like frame and tyres reduce weight and boost handling. This Yamaha Grizzly is packed with intelligent technology including comprehensive LCD instrumentation and a 3-mode On-Command® system for fast selection between drive settings and superb traction.

There aren’t many conditions that will stop the Grizzly 450 IRS. A redesigned intuitive wet brake system at the rear even prevents clogging when mud or stones are thrown up by the wheels.

Functionality, flexibility, durability and massive capability springing from a rock-solid platform of engineering excellence: these are the elements that give a Yamaha Utility ATV its authenticity.

Even supreme ability has no value if it cannot be easily deployed, so practicality is the catalyst that makes Yamaha ATVs so uniquely and effortlessly capable.

To perform the hardest work in the toughest environments, there are no ATVs better qualified or better engineered than Yamaha Utility ATVs. They are tireless workhorses. But that’s not all they are. When time permits, Yamaha Utility ATVs can have fun too.

    Powerful engine

Big power lies at the heart of the Grizzly 450 IRS. The liquid-cooled 421cc engine offers the kind of low-rpm torque needed to get the heaviest loads moving. In addition, Ultramatic® transmission supplies engine braking to your ATV’s driven wheels especially on steep, downhill gradients.

    Lightweight frame

The one-piece frame reduces weight as well as being a stronger and more rigid construction. It incorporates an extra-durable rear gear assembly, connected at three (rather than the normal two) separate points for best-ever protection against the strains of regular, heavy-duty use. A shorter, springier stabilizer bar offers increased support.

    Multi-disc wet braking

Yamaha’s sealed oil-bathed multi-disc rear brake setup has been redesigned: more durable, it better protects the system from becoming clogged with the mud or stones that are thrown up during use. It also provides stronger, more consistent stopping power and is easier to adjust.

    On-Command® drive system

Yamaha’s push-button On-Command 2WD/4WD system (with locked-differential 4WD) lets you switch between drive modes, giving near-instantaneous transition from cruising to climbing.

    Independent Rear Suspension (IRS)

Independently linking each individual rear wheel to the chassis means that the movement of one wheel is not affected by the movement of the other. This helps the ATV to soak up uneven terrain. It’s a major contributor to rider comfort and peace of mind.

    Digital LCD multifunction display

The LCD data multifunction display has an engine hour meter that provides an accurate picture of usage. Other display readouts indicate time, overall mileage, trip meter, fuel status and transmission mode.

    High cargo capacity

Offering generous storage capacity, the Grizzly 450 IRS can carry a maximum payload of 120 kg – 40 kg at the front, and 80 kg at the rear. A re-designed hitch mount is capable of towing heavy loads.

    Comfortable seat

The re-designed seat offers improved cold weather riding comfort while reducing overall weight. It helps riders carry on working for longer, even in inclement weather. YAMAHA
